Dalçoquio began its transport operations in 1968, in Itajaí, in the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Initially, the company’s founder, Augusto Dalçoquio
Neto, transported oil derivates and fuel oil for Petrobrás Distribuidora (Distribution branch of Petrobrás). With the expansion of the market, he saw a
need to expand his business and in 1969 he launched the Irmãos Dalçoquio Gas Station, followed in 1981 by the Santa Rosa Gas Station, both under the
Petrobrás concession. During the 1970s, Dalçoquio bought new trucks and began transporting toxic and corrosive products.
The company, which start life transporting liquid products, consolidated its position by forming a partnership with Petrobrás Distribuidora in 1983, changing the company's name. The partnership ended in 2001, following the Federal Government’s National Privatization Plan.
Dalçoquio was one of the first transport companies in Brazil to join the Responsible Action program of Albiquim (Brazilian Chemical Industry Association). In 1998, Dalçoquio began transporting dry cargo. Keeping up with the pace of business expansion, in 2006 it began operating the Trocadeiro Port Terminal.
Dalçoquio now has units in all the main points of the country, and in Argentina.
